Tamil Nadu added 1,250 seats, while Bihar added 1,240. Uttar Pradesh added 1,200 seats to its MBBS intake.

Other states also recorded increases, including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Jharkhand.
