Delhi University Opens CSAS UG Phase II; Preference Filling Begins for 2026 Admissions

The University of Delhi (DU) has officially launched Phase II of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2026, allowing eligible candidates to begin filling their programme and college preferences for undergraduate admissions. Students who have completed Phase I registration can now log in to the admission portal and submit their preferred course-college combinations based on their CUET UG 2026 scores. The preference-filling window will remain open until July 11, while the first seat allotment list will be released on July 16.

During this phase, applicants must complete subject mapping, verify eligibility for their chosen programmes and carefully arrange their preferences. The order in which students list their choices is crucial, as seat allotment will be based on CUET scores, eligibility criteria, reservation policies and preference order.

University officials have advised candidates to research colleges and programmes thoroughly before locking their preferences. Students are encouraged to consider factors such as curriculum, faculty, placement opportunities, infrastructure, campus facilities and career prospects while preparing their final list. Once the preference window closes, changes may not be permitted, making careful planning essential.

Education experts note that the CSAS platform has made the admission process more transparent and student-friendly by offering a centralized online system for seat allocation. The digital platform enables applicants from across the country to participate in admissions without visiting the campus physically, reducing administrative delays and improving accessibility.

Applicants should also ensure that all required documents—including CUET scorecards, Class 10 and 12 certificates, category certificates (if applicable) and identity proof—are ready for the document verification process after seat allotment. Timely acceptance of allotted seats and payment of admission fees will be necessary to confirm admission.
