The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Chhattisgarh has announced the CG PET 2026 Round 1 seat allotment results, marking the next stage in the state’s engineering admission process. Candidates who participated in the counselling can now check their allotted institute and course through the official admission portal. The admission process for Round 1 begins July 11, 2026, and candidates must complete all required formalities within the prescribed schedule
The seat allotment has been prepared based on candidates’ CG PET 2026 merit ranks, category, reservation policy, seat availability and the choices filled during the counselling process. Students can log in to the counselling portal to download their allotment letter and verify their admission details.
Candidates who have been allotted seats must report to their respective institutes with the required documents for verification and complete the admission process before the deadline. Essential documents generally include the CG PET scorecard, allotment letter, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, transfer certificate, domicile certificate, category certificate (if applicable), Aadhaar card and passport-size photographs. Failure to report within the specified period may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
Education experts advise candidates to carefully verify all information on their allotment letter before reporting to the institute. They also recommend keeping multiple photocopies of important documents and preserving fee payment receipts for future reference during the admission process.
The Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET) serves as the gateway for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by government and private engineering colleges across the state. The counselling process ensures merit-based allocation while giving candidates multiple opportunities to secure admission based on seat availability.
Candidates who are not satisfied with their current allotment or do not receive a seat may have opportunities to participate in subsequent counselling rounds, subject to the schedule announced by the Directorate of Technical Education. Applicants should regularly check the official counselling portal for updates regarding further rounds, vacancy lists and reporting timelines.
The declaration of the Round 1 seat allotment marks a significant milestone for engineering aspirants in Chhattisgarh. Students are encouraged to complete the admission process on time to secure their allotted seats and avoid any last-minute complications.
