The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has extended the deadline for conducting Class 12 practical examinations for the 2026 board cycle, offering relief to students and schools facing scheduling constraints.
According to the revised schedule issued by the board, affiliated schools can now conduct intermediate practical examinations up to February 13, instead of the earlier cut off date. The decision has been taken to ensure that no student is disadvantaged due to delays caused by administrative or logistical issues at the school level.
Officials said the extension applies across the state and covers all subjects that require internal practical assessment. Schools have been instructed to complete the examinations within the extended timeline and upload marks promptly through the designated online portal.
The board has also made it clear that no further extension will be granted beyond February 13. Principals and examination heads have been asked to ensure strict adherence to guidelines related to examiner appointment, evaluation standards, and timely submission of marks.
The Uttar Pradesh board conducts Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for one of the largest student populations in the country. With written examinations scheduled to follow soon, the board said the extended window for practicals is aimed at maintaining academic continuity while safeguarding student interests.
