The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the e-certificates for candidates who qualified in the UGC-NET June 2026 examination. Eligible candidates can now access their certificates through the official UGC-NET website. The official UGC-NET portal has listed the notice regarding issuance of the June 2026 e-certificates.
The certificates are relevant to candidates who qualified under the different UGC-NET categories, including Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), eligibility for Assistant Professor and admission to PhD programmes. Candidates who qualified under the “admission to Ph.D. only” category are eligible for PhD admission but not for the award of JRF or appointment as Assistant Professor.
For qualified candidates, the e-certificate is an important academic document because it records the category under which the candidate qualified in the national-level eligibility examination. Candidates should download and preserve the certificate for future academic and recruitment-related requirements.
How to Download UGC NET June 2026 E-Certificate
Candidates should visit the official UGC-NET website and look for the e-certificate section. They should then follow the login instructions provided by NTA and enter the required credentials.
After successful authentication, candidates can access their certificate and download the document. It is advisable to save a digital copy in more than one secure location and keep a printed copy for situations where a physical document may be requested.
Candidates should also carefully check the information displayed on the certificate. Details such as the candidate’s name, subject and qualification category should be verified. Any discrepancy should be addressed through the official channels provided by NTA rather than being ignored.
The NTA’s official website currently lists the e-certificate issuance notice among the latest UGC-NET documents, alongside the June 2026 result, cut-off and answer-key notices.
What Qualified Candidates Should Do Next
For candidates who qualified for JRF, the certificate should be kept safely because the qualification can be relevant to research opportunities and academic careers.
Candidates qualifying for Assistant Professor eligibility can use the qualification as part of their future academic applications, subject to the recruitment rules and eligibility conditions of the concerned university or institution.
Those qualifying under the PhD admission category should remember that qualifying UGC-NET does not itself constitute admission to a doctoral programme. Candidates still need to follow the admission and selection procedures of the university or institution where they seek admission.
Candidates should therefore not treat the release of the certificate as the final step in their academic journey. Depending on their qualification category, the next stage could involve applying for research opportunities, exploring faculty vacancies or checking PhD admission notifications.
The certificate should also be kept alongside other important academic documents, including degree certificates, marksheets and other examination records.
The June 2026 e-certificate release is particularly significant for candidates who have been waiting to formally document their qualification after the examination and result process.
Candidates who encounter difficulty accessing the certificate should rely on the contact details and instructions published by NTA rather than using unofficial websites or third-party links.
For UGC-NET qualified candidates, the immediate priority is simple: download the certificate, verify every detail, keep multiple secure copies and understand what the particular qualification category allows them to pursue.
