Students planning to pursue engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham now have an important date to remember. The university has announced the schedule for the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering, or AEEE 2027.
According to the official AEEE website, the computer-based entrance examination will be conducted between April 15 and May 7, 2027. The examination is used for admission to BTech programmes at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
Who can apply for AEEE 2027?
Students appearing for Class 12 or an equivalent examination in 2027 can apply, subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions.
This means current Class 12 students preparing for engineering admissions should begin keeping track of the AEEE schedule along with other major engineering entrance examinations.
Candidates should read the official eligibility requirements carefully before completing their registration.
How will the admission process work?
The AEEE admission process includes several stages.
Students first need to complete registration. Eligible candidates can then participate in slot booking and download their admit cards before appearing for the examination.
After the examination, students can take part in the Centralised Seat Allotment Process, or CSAP, based on their performance and the applicable admission rules.
Students should therefore not treat the entrance examination as the final step. They also need to keep track of counselling and seat-allocation deadlines.
Can JEE Main students also apply?
AEEE provides one route to BTech admission, but students may also have another pathway through their JEE Main performance, depending on the applicable admission rules.
This can be useful for engineering aspirants because students do not necessarily have to depend on only one examination.
However, candidates should carefully check the latest admission rules before deciding which pathway to use.
How should students prepare?
AEEE preparation should begin with a clear understanding of the syllabus and examination pattern.
Students should focus on strengthening their fundamentals rather than simply memorising formulas. Regular practice is particularly important for subjects such as mathematics and physics, where solving questions repeatedly can improve speed and accuracy.
Candidates should also take mock tests under timed conditions. This can help them identify which topics require more attention.
With the exam scheduled between April 15 and May 7, 2027, students still have time to create a structured preparation plan.
The announcement gives engineering aspirants an early opportunity to organise their academic schedule, compare admission routes and prepare for one of the major private-university engineering entrance examinations.
