UGC extends deadline for universities to map courses on SWAYAM platform

The University Grants Commission has extended the deadline for higher education institutions to submit inputs for mapping courses on the SWAYAM online learning platform for the July 2026 academic cycle. The move is intended to encourage wider participation from universities and colleges in integrating digital courses with their existing curriculum.

Officials said institutions are required to identify relevant SWAYAM courses that can complement their academic programmes and submit the details to the regulator. The mapping exercise will help universities align their course requirements with the Massive Open Online Courses offered on the government-run platform.
