The application window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate 2026 will close on March 11, according to the National Testing Agency. Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical programmes across the country must complete their registration on the official NTA portal before the deadline.
NEET UG remains the single entrance examination for admission to MBBS, BDS and several other allied medical courses offered by government and private institutions in India. With the deadline approaching, the testing agency has advised aspirants to submit their forms at the earliest to avoid last minute technical issues.
The registration process requires candidates to fill in personal and academic details, upload required documents and complete the application fee payment online. Only those candidates who successfully submit the application form within the specified time will be allowed to appear for the examination.
Earlier, the agency had extended the application deadline after some applicants reported difficulties during the registration process. The extension was intended to give students additional time to complete their forms. However, officials have indicated that the application portal will close today and no further extension is expected.
NEET UG continues to see participation from more than two million candidates every year, making it one of the largest entrance examinations in the country. The exam determines admission to medical colleges regulated by the National Medical Commission as well as institutions governed by other statutory bodies.
Candidates who have not yet applied have been advised to visit the official website and complete the registration process before the application window closes.
