New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati on Friday released the admit cards for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026, ahead of the examination scheduled to be held across four days in February.
GATE 2026 will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15 and 16 in multiple shifts at centres across the country. The examination is held for admission to postgraduate programmes in engineering, technology, architecture and science, and is also used by several public sector undertakings for recruitment.
The admit card carries details such as the candidate’s name, registration number, photograph, examination date, shift timing, reporting time, test centre address and exam day instructions. Candidates have been advised to carefully check all information and contact the authorities in case of any discrepancy.
Officials have clarified that the admit card is mandatory for entry to the examination centre and must be produced along with a valid photo identity document. Candidates have also been asked to strictly follow instructions related to reporting time and prohibited items.
GATE is conducted annually on behalf of the National Coordination Board and remains a key qualifying examination for higher education and technical recruitment in the country.
