The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC-NET June 2026 e-certificates for candidates who qualified in the examination, allowing eligible candidates to access their certification digitally through the official UGC-NET website.
The certificates are relevant to candidates who qualified under categories including Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor eligibility and PhD admission, depending on their individual result and applicable rules.
The release follows the completion of the June 2026 examination cycle, which also included a re-examination for selected subjects.
Candidates who have received qualifying status can access the certificate through the UGC-NET portal using their login credentials.
The e-certificate provides formal documentation of a candidate’s qualifying status and can be relevant during recruitment, academic applications and research-related processes where UGC-NET qualification is required.
UGC-NET is conducted to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor positions and Junior Research Fellowship and to support PhD admissions under applicable university regulations.
The June 2026 examination cycle had additional significance because NTA conducted a re-examination for three subjects following complaints concerning question papers from the original examination. The re-examination was held in September, after which the agency proceeded with the relevant result and certification processes.
The latest certificate release therefore represents one of the final administrative stages of the June examination cycle for qualified candidates.
Candidates should carefully verify their name, qualification category and other details on the certificate after downloading it.
The digital format also reduces dependence on physical documentation and allows candidates to retain an electronic copy for future applications.
For candidates qualifying under the Junior Research Fellowship category, the certificate can form part of the documentation associated with research and fellowship-related processes.
Assistant Professor-qualified candidates may need to provide their UGC-NET qualification details when applying for eligible academic positions.
Candidates qualifying for PhD admission should note that the certificate itself does not automatically constitute admission to a university. Admission remains subject to the rules and selection processes of individual higher-education institutions.
The distinction is important because UGC-NET establishes an eligibility category, while recruitment and university admissions can involve additional requirements.
The NTA has also published the June 2026 scorecard, final answer-key and other examination-related notices through the official UGC-NET portal.
Candidates should therefore retain copies of their scorecard, certificate and other examination documents.
The release also comes as the NTA prepares for the next UGC-NET cycle. Its tentative examination calendar places the December 2026 UGC-NET examination between December 14 and 19.
This means candidates who did not qualify in the June cycle, as well as those planning to appear again, now have a new examination window to prepare for.
For universities and academic institutions, the availability of digital certificates can also simplify verification of candidates’ eligibility during recruitment and admission processes.
The UGC-NET certificate release therefore marks an important administrative milestone for thousands of candidates who completed the examination process.
Candidates should use the official NTA portal for downloading and verification rather than relying on third-party links circulated on social media.
