The Central Board of Secondary Education board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 are currently underway across the country, with lakhs of students appearing for the annual tests that began in February.
The board started the examination cycle on February 17 and has scheduled papers through March and early April depending on the subject stream. Schools across states have been designated as examination centres, with authorities overseeing arrangements to ensure the process runs smoothly.
CBSE has issued detailed guidelines for schools and students, including strict entry protocols, adherence to reporting time and compliance with exam hall rules. Invigilators have also been instructed to maintain uniform procedures to avoid disruptions during the examination period.
Education officials said the board has taken steps to strengthen monitoring at centres and prevent malpractice. The exams remain a crucial academic milestone for students as the results determine admission to higher secondary courses and undergraduate programmes in universities across the country.
