The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog has issued a notification inviting applications for 600 posts of Junior Basic Teacher in government schools across the state. The recruitment drive is aimed at addressing vacancies in primary education and strengthening teaching staff in rural and urban schools.
According to the notification, the online application process will commence on March 16. Eligible candidates will be able to submit their applications through the official portal of the commission within the stipulated deadline.
The posts are intended for primary level teaching in government schools, and applicants are required to meet the prescribed educational qualifications and teacher training criteria. Candidates must also have qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test as per the norms set for recruitment to teaching positions.
Officials said the selection process will be conducted through a written examination followed by the verification of documents. Detailed information regarding eligibility conditions, examination pattern and application procedure has been made available in the recruitment notice.
The move is expected to support efforts to improve the pupil teacher ratio in primary schools while filling long pending vacancies in the state’s education department.
