A group of 44 students from Maharashtra’s Wardha district has embarked on an educational tour to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru and to Kuppam, in an initiative aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and strengthening STEM learning among young learners.
The visit to ISRO is expected to provide students with first-hand exposure to India’s space research programmes, satellite technology and scientific innovation. Educators accompanying the group said the tour is designed to move learning beyond textbooks, allowing students to interact with real-world applications of physics, engineering and mathematics.
In addition to Bengaluru, the itinerary includes Kuppam, where students will participate in academic and institutional engagements intended to broaden their educational horizons. Organisers described the tour as part of a broader effort to encourage rural and semi-urban students to pursue careers in science and technology.
Officials said such experiential learning initiatives are critical in building confidence and aspiration among students from districts like Wardha. By connecting classrooms to premier scientific institutions, the programme seeks to bridge gaps in exposure and inspire the next generation of researchers and innovators.
