CUET PG 2026 Application Deadline Extended to January 20, NTA Issues Official Notice

The National Testing Agency has extended the deadline for submitting applications for the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate 2026. As per the official notice, candidates can now apply till January 20, 2026, giving aspirants additional time to complete the registration process.

The decision has been taken in response to requests from students and stakeholders who sought more time due to technical issues and document related delays during the application process. The extension applies only to the submission of the online application form.

The National Testing Agency has clarified that the last date for payment of the application fee will be announced separately, along with the schedule for correction in application details, if any. Candidates are advised to complete the form carefully and ensure that all personal, academic, and category related information is accurate.

CUET PG 2026 will be conducted for admission to postgraduate programmes offered by central, state, deemed, and private universities participating in the examination. The test will be held in computer based mode and will assess candidates on subject knowledge relevant to their chosen postgraduate programme.

Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the respective universities. Final admission will be based on CUET PG scores and the counselling process conducted by participating institutions.

The agency has urged candidates to rely only on official notices for updates related to the examination schedule, admit cards, and result announcements, and to complete the application process well before the revised deadline to avoid last minute issues.
