The Staff Selection Commission released a formal clarification after candidates raised concerns about inconsistencies between their scorecards and the published cut-off figures for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2025 Tier-I results. The Commission has acknowledged that an error appeared in the cut-off marks table originally published in the result notice. These figures, specifically those under “List-3” which cover candidates shortlisted for Tier-II Paper-I for posts other than Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Investigator Grade-II, did not correctly reflect the actual cut-off marks and the number of candidates per category.
The SSC reviewed the complaint following representations from aspirants who found their marks higher than the cut-off shown, yet their names were not visible in any of the published lists. After a detailed verification of category-wise cut-off marks, candidate scores, and all three shortlisted lists, the Commission confirmed that the shortlisting process was correctly conducted and that the lists of qualified candidates remain unchanged. No candidate has been added to or removed from the previously released List-I, List-II, or List-III.
The error was confined strictly to the data published in Paragraph 5 of the result notification. To address confusion among candidates, SSC has issued a corrected table that states the accurate cut-off marks and actual count of candidates per category. The revised data shows minor adjustments in cut-off figures and candidate numbers for categories such as SC, ST, UR, and others. For example, the UR category’s cut-off was corrected from 136.83159 to 136.40215, and the number of shortlisted UR candidates increased from 20,035 to 20,723.
Despite the publication error, the Commission has assured candidates that the correction does not influence the outcome of the examination or eligibility for Tier-II. Shortlisted candidates should continue with their Tier-II preparation, and all aspirants are advised to refer only to official notices available on the SSC website for accurate information. Candidates are also encouraged to download and preserve their individual scorecards for future reference.
