New Delhi: The National Medical Commission has extended the deadline for medical colleges to upload admission details of first year MBBS students for the 2025–26 academic session until March 31, 2026.
The regulator said the extension has been granted to ensure that all institutions submit complete and accurate information related to admissions carried out through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test based counselling process.
Medical colleges across the country are required to upload details of admitted students on the NMC portal as part of the commission’s effort to maintain a centralised record of medical education data. The information helps the regulator monitor compliance with approved seat capacity and admission procedures.
Officials said the extension will give institutions additional time to correct discrepancies and complete the documentation process. Colleges have been instructed to ensure that the data uploaded on the portal matches the records maintained by counselling authorities.
The NMC has also cautioned that failure to submit the required information within the revised deadline could invite regulatory action, as accurate reporting of admissions is considered essential for maintaining transparency in medical education.
