The National Testing Agency has opened the correction window for candidates who have registered for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses, NEET UG 2026. Applicants can edit permitted details in their forms between March 12 and March 14 through the official website.
The agency said the facility is meant to help candidates rectify errors in information submitted during the application process. Students have been advised to review their forms carefully and make necessary corrections within the specified period, as no further opportunity for changes is expected after the window closes.
NEET UG 2026 will be conducted on May 3 in pen and paper mode in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm across examination centres in India and abroad. The exam remains the single largest gateway for admission to undergraduate medical courses in government and private institutions.
According to preliminary estimates, more than 22 lakh candidates have registered for the examination this year. The figure reflects the continued surge in demand for medical education and the intense competition for limited seats in MBBS and other allied programmes.
The NTA has also reiterated that candidates must ensure the accuracy of personal details, academic information and uploaded documents while making corrections. Any discrepancy found later during verification may lead to cancellation of candidature.
