In the 2026 subject rankings, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru emerged as the sole Indian institution to place within the global top 100 in Computer Science, securing the 96th position. This marks a notable achievement for the institute on the global stage.

JNU appeared in the 501-600 band for Arts and Humanities, while DU was ranked within the 301-400 bracket for Law.
