Indira Gandhi National Open University will conduct a pan India placement drive for its students and alumni in February 2026, aiming to bridge the gap between distance education and direct industry hiring.
The drive, being coordinated through the university’s Campus Placement Cell, will be held across multiple regional centres and study centres. It is open to both current learners and pass out students from a wide range of academic streams.
According to university officials, recruiters from sectors such as education, banking and finance, information technology, retail, logistics, healthcare, and services are expected to participate. Companies will offer roles across entry level and mid level profiles, depending on qualifications and prior work experience.
Eligible candidates will be required to register in advance through the official placement portal. Shortlisting will be carried out by participating employers, followed by interviews conducted either in person at designated centres or through online modes.
The university has advised students and alumni to keep updated resumes, academic records, and identity documents ready ahead of the drive. Detailed schedules, venue information, and the list of participating companies will be shared through regional centres closer to the dates.
University officials said the placement drive is part of a broader effort by Indira Gandhi National Open University to strengthen employability support and expand career pathways for learners enrolled through open and distance learning modes.
Registrations are expected to open in the coming weeks, with regional centres tasked with coordinating logistics and student outreach.
