The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the exam city intimation slips for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2026, enabling candidates to check the city where their examination centre has been allotted.
According to the board, the city slip is available on the official CTET website and can be accessed using the candidate’s application number and date of birth. The document only informs candidates about the city of examination and is not the admit card. The CTET admit card, which will carry details such as the exact exam centre address, reporting time, roll number, and exam-day instructions, will be issued separately.
CTET 2026 will be conducted in two shifts. Paper I is meant for candidates aspiring to teach Classes I to V, while Paper II is for those seeking eligibility to teach Classes VI to VIII. Candidates who intend to teach Classes I to VIII are required to appear for both papers.
CBSE has advised candidates to verify their exam city details carefully and to rely only on official updates published on the CTET website. In case of discrepancies, candidates have been asked to contact the CTET helpdesk through the channels provided on the portal.
The board has also reiterated that entry to the examination hall will be allowed only with a valid admit card and an approved photo identity proof. Candidates are advised to read the instructions mentioned on the admit card thoroughly once it is released and plan their travel to the exam city in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
CTET is a national-level eligibility test conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education for candidates seeking teaching positions in central government schools and other institutions that consider CTET scores as part of their recruitment process.
