The Central Board of Secondary Education has cancelled Class 10 board examinations and postponed a Class 12 paper scheduled for March 7 for students appearing from certain centres in the Middle East.
In an official notice, the board informed schools and candidates that the decision was taken due to circumstances affecting examination arrangements in the region. CBSE has asked students and school authorities to wait for further instructions regarding the revised examination schedule.
The board clarified that the Class 10 examinations scheduled at the affected centres would not be conducted as planned. Meanwhile, the Class 12 examination slated for March 7 has been deferred and will be held on a later date to be announced by the board.
CBSE officials said detailed instructions regarding the rescheduled examination and related procedures will be communicated through official channels. Schools have been advised to keep students informed and ensure that they follow updates issued by the board.
The development comes at a time when the CBSE board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 are underway across India and at overseas examination centres affiliated with the board. Students appearing from the affected locations will now have to wait for the revised dates announced by CBSE.
